Meet Rez, a talented digital artist from Australia who blends the worlds of 3D animation, visual effects, photography, and live-action elements to create immersive, surreal visuals. With his unique ability to mix CGI with live-action portraiture, Rez explores the boundaries of technology and human expression. Utilizing a passion for experimentation, his work continuously pushes the limits of what’s possible, from stage visuals for brands and music artists to his latest personal projects.

K: Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and your experience as an artist?

R: Hey, I’m Rez, a digital artist based in Australia. I work with 3D animation, visual effects, photography, and moving imagery, blending digital and live-action elements to create surreal visuals.

I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with brands and music artists on stage visuals and digital content, but my personal work is where I explore the intersection of technology and human expression, tethering the line of full cgi to blending cgi with live action portraiture in a way that feels immersive and otherworldly.

K: What was the inspiration behind your art and latest creation?

R: A lot of my work comes from a desire to experiment with new techniques and push the limits of what I currently know. I’m always drawn to the intersection between real and digital and combining multiple mediums and techniques while exploring a creative concept. 

K: What can we expect for the future of your art?

R: I’m working on expanding my stage visual work on a larger scale, bringing immersive digital environments to live performances. I’m also exploring more in digital fashion using CGI to push beyond physical styling and create something surreal. There are a few upcoming projects that I’m excited about, but I like to let the work speak for itself when the time comes.
